I make this illustration for International Mother's Tongue Day. At the top, shaping the Indonesia archipelago map are some of the Indonesian ethnic group mother tongue words "Apa kabar" (in Bahasa Indonesia) or How are you (in English). A lot of Indonesian, speak in their mother tongue more than they speak Indonesian, the national language.

It's another flare of color that represent Indonesia famous slogan, Unity in Diversity (Bhineka Tunggal Ika). While each ethnic group speak different mother tongue, Bahasa Indonesia unite us.
