A call went out in Nov 2021 for artists to submit their work in relation to the North End of Halifax: what it meant to them, what it signified or made it special. This call was made by NEBA (North End Business Association) of Halifax, and up to 40 artists' work were selected to be reprinted as streetpole banners to hang for up to 2 years.
My selected work for them was about the vibrancy and personalities of my neighbourhood-the folks, houses, and interactions that made it special, but channeled through the dogs in my neighbourhood, because seeing them really brightens my day. The imagery includes dogs I see day-to-day, stepping out the door, as well as some Halifamous pups.
