My first project at university- to design a number of robots themed on 'The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly' in the literal/functional sense (not based on the exquisite Western).
I decided to go for an animated feature film type of style with my robots, and I am still pleased with the final 'Good' and 'Ugly' design years later, which for me is an impressive feat. 'Good' robot rough concepts.
'Bad' robot rough concepts. For my project I went for the final design on the sheet, but I quite like the fish design instead nowadays.
'Ugly' robot rough concepts. I was pretty set on the first design from the start.

'Good' Robot: A quirky robot that is used for general companionship and help.
'Ugly' Robot: A Janitor/Mechanic style robot that performs the general upkeep for factories etc. It carries its tools in the holders on its back.
