Seeking refuge in Death Valley - Death Valley, CA

I found myself alone, drifting down U.S. Route 95 in Nevada, in the middle of a desert highway. I came upon several locations with oddly placed metallic structures, to include a partly dismembered airplane, with murals emblazoned upon them on the side of the road. I took time to sit down next to the structures, reflect, and take pictures before departing.
My journey led me to Death Valley, which is in eastern California, in the northern Mojave Desert, bordering the Great Basin Desert. Upon leaving my vehicle, I checked the temperature outside and it read 123 degrees Fahrenheit. I grabbed my pack, then ventured out into the desert, to which I basked in the solace from the stillness that only the valley could provide.
