Fruit Bowl
This fruit bowl was put together in Photoshop using a variety of fruits with faces.
Self Portrait
This is my self portrait for week one Photoshop class. This picture was taken at an antique shop in August, 2021.
Photoshop Color Wheel Project
Composition one (Left) is my objective/realistic collage which shows the relation of primary, secondary, and tertiary hues.

Composition two (Center) is my abstract collage which shows emphasis of an analogous color scheme of reds, oranges, and yellows.

Composition three(Right) is my shape based collage which was made using a blue and orange complementary color scheme.
Unit 4 Photoshop Surr-lyrical Collage Project
For my first Photoshop collage I based my artwork off of the song ‘Baby Hotline’ by Jack
Stauber. This collage depicts the scene that I imagined when I first listened to the song. To piece together this collage I first made a photorealistic layer composed of images that I arranged to fit the mood and setting I visualized based on the lyrics of the song. For my surreal layer I used images of textured paper in places where I wanted to bring focus to the composition. I used simple complementary colors to bring the whole collage together in the end and I like how it turned out.

For my second Photoshop collage I got my inspiration from the song ‘Locked in A Feeling’ by Moderator. This collage shows a cityscape with a towering keyhole embedded in it showing a window to a new world. One thing I really like about this collage is the warm lighting that can be seen on the city buildings and the shadows that I made casting off the key hole cover.
For my color scheme I chose to pick an analogous color scheme with 3 main colors: yellow, green, and blue. Although this collage was composed of fewer images than my first collage, I like the exaggerated proportions and much more surreal feeling this collage displays.
Unexpected Hybrid Collage Project
In my first hybrid Photoshop project titled "Crowned Crane" (Top left) I mixed a picture of a woman dressed in luxurious clothing with a grey crowned crane. This project came together when I saw the feathery coat on the woman which fit the bird hybrid well.
One of the Photoshop tools I used the most in this project was the mask tool.

In my second hybrid project titled "Tiger Cat" I mixed two animal images together to form a hybrid species. The pose of the tiger stretching on a log inspired me to change the tiger face to a much more innocent feline cat head. This project involved me using many different adjustment layers in Photoshop to create a convincing blent of cat and tiger.

Lastly in my third hybrid project titled "Couple of Flowers" I created a humorous hybrid blend of sunflowers and people. This hybrid was inspired by the first image I stumbled upon of a regular human couple holding sunflowers in their hands. I used many blending tools in this collage to replace the skin tones with sunflower stalks texture.

Photoshop Typography Collage Project

In this weeks project (Photoshop Week 10) I created two typography collages with a design focus on visual storytelling. In my first collage titled “Faith No More” I montaged together pieces of Faith No More media from the internet to make my own visual image of the band and its publicity. This project involved me using the transparency and blend tool the most often.

In my second collage titled "Twosday" I created a very different image, much more text- based. This project was inspired by the date 2/22/22 which this project fell under at the time. I used InDesign as well as Photoshop to create a simplistic composition with the clipping mask as my most frequently used tool.
Photoshop Revision Project
For my Photoshop revision project I picked two of my projects that I felt needed improvement. 'Terraced Land' was redesigned to have a better looking blend of atmosphere. I included more story telling elements to my collage like the farmers and the moon to give the viewer more to look at and question.

'Fear and wonder' got a complete redesign when I decided to revise it. The overall concept stayed the same with the subject being center focus with shock showing on their face. In my revised collage I made it much more clear what I was trying to communicate with my collage, climate change.

Cinemagraph Motion Project
For this week's assignment I created two unique cinemagraphs using Photoshop as my only tool. In my first cinemagraph project titled “chromebottle” I had to create a video featuring product placement. I decided to pick a cologne bottle as my subject because of the reputation cologne has for being exaggerated in the advertising industry. In Photoshop, I used numerous adjustment layers as well as the mask tool to make my bottle look both transparent and frosted. I felt the slow motion waves were a great element to capture the essence of the product.

In my second cinemagraph titled “tiger_stalking” I used my full creative freedom to create an image of a tiger standing still behind moving leaves. This project involved a lot of playing around in Photoshop to make the foreground look convincing as a complicated object. I found the blend mode options to be the most helpful in this project because it helped me visualize what the overlapping layers would look like together without having to commit to any major render changes. In the end, I felt pleased with the visual storytelling cinemagraphs I was able to do.
