This character sketch was inspired by a little girl I know who is quite a character herself!  I developed this full color character sketch in an old school comic style that reminds me of fun times as a child at the skate rink. 

I started with a rough sketch of the characters and dropped them into the skate rink to envision the movement and scale of the space.  I wanted to keep the skaters in motion, even in this 2D image.

I moved into the final colors for the main characters.  The colors and linework are reminiscent of the old comic book style.  I look forward to working through the final image in the skate rink scene.
