The Art of Solitude (Or Loneliness?)

The Art of Solitude (Or is it Loneliness?)
We are social creatures, but there are ways in which we celebrate solitude. We can find these themes in nature as well.
Yet there is also a fine line between solitude and loneliness. Is there truly a difference? Sometimes, altering our perspective is all it takes to see the difference between solitude and loneliness.

Here is a lone flower on an otherwise withering bush. It blooms boldly on its own, and prevails.
Much like the lone rose, there appears to be a rebel young tree growing inside the fenced walls; isolated from the fully grown trees.
Cats are animals of solitude by nature. But they are not lonely, for they also seek company from time to time.
This chinchilla seems to enjoy its odd little area of solitude.
Speaking of odd areas... While this is not the most photogenic image, it shows that humans, too, seek moments of comfy solitude in the most odd places.
These photos make me feel like I am in a forest alone...
