Raksha Bandhan
is an evocative ritual which has been part of our heritage. It binds people through cultures and geographies in our subcontinent and has remained as an important cultural celebration amidst our changing times. Gone are those times when the ‘Rakhi’ used to arrive in the post accompanying the sweet wishes of our sisters. We have appropriated technology to bridge the gap, where people have been displaced or have migrated due to their career choices.
This artwork stands as an ode to these changing times, where the potentials of technology have managed to make our lives better and happy, where our culture and traditions have become more meaningful with an ‘online’ presence..
