The Fairfax Media Glass Plate Negatives Collection contains over 18,000 images taken by The Sydney Morning Herald between the early 1900s and the mid-1940s.
Now a national treasure, the collection documents the events, ambitions and past times that captivated the nation. Fairfax Syndication wanted to promote this collection to its readers and clients in the form of a promotional gift as a bottle of wine.
Solution
Solution
Using a selection of photos, I created five wine labels and kept the colour palette to black and white to not distract from the spectacular images. The back of the label explained all the details about the collection. It also provided a call to action leading them to the entire collection online and the reference number of the photo on the wine bottle.
