Advanced Computer Illustration: Abstract art assignment

So for this summer assignment I had to create four pieces of Digital abstract art for the four emotions; Happiness, anger, sadness, and calmness. This was honestly really fun to do as I love exploring emotions when it comes to art! When it came to doing the final designs I ended up putting two limitations on myself, which were trying to use different drawing techniques and colors for each piece and not reusing any of them. I'm honestly proud of this because it makes me feel as though each piece feels distinctive and unique.
Rough Sketches
Happy / Excitement: When I was coming up for ideas for the circles I originally thought of making two figures holding each others hands, but then I thought of unity which lead to four big circles and four smaller circles inside. The tiny ones where inspired by Bambi 2, I remember watching it and seeing the scene where Bambi and his father are playing in field of flowers with grasshoppers hopping around, it made me think of fireflies so thats kind of how the tiny circles ended up in the design.
Anger / Rage: This was honestly the most fun to do, really because I just got a lot of scribbly lines for most of this, I also was originally going to try to do something akin to a  shouting mouth, but I decided against it. I also listened to some heavy metal while designing this one.
Somber / Depressed: I first started with drawing a spiraling tornado in the background and as you could imagine I started thinking about tears or raindrops and covering the image with them. The rough felt like the raindrops were more solid in my mind. I also added in chains in the rough just to see how it would feel.
Calm / Relaxed: This in my opinion was the most tricky, the other three emotions felt more vivid and distinctive but when it came to calm and feels like such a dormant emotion but I tried. I also originally tried add too squished circles at the bottom to try to symbolize meditating but my professor said the shapes aren't suppose to represent anything from the real world.
Happy / Excitement (Finished): The first and my favorite out of all the finished designs! It kind of makes me think of an Easter egg. This was the first one I started on and I ended up not using my tablet too much and ended up relying on simple editing.
Anger / Rage (Finished): And this is my second favorite out of all four. I feel very satisfied with the messy sketches. While drawing characters on other projects I'm always so ambitious when starting the rough, but then I have to do the outline which was I dreaded most while drawing so it felt so satisfying to draw a messy rough- like drawing and just leave it. Actually what I really loved most about this piece was one of my instructors input while doing the rough and he said to try to make look less organized because anger is blind.
Somber / Depressed (Finished): I kind of struggled with this one when it came to implying different techniques, because like I said I tried to do something distinctive for each of the designs and since this was the last one I almost ran out of ideas, yet I found a smug effect in photoshop that made the raindrops feel blurry and fuzzy. I also ended up putting the chains in the very back, so now it kind of feels like a weird smoke effect, not what I intended but it still works!
Calm / Relaxed (Finished): This ended up feeling a lot more powerful in the final design than in the rough, especially with the wave-ish pattern in the background. I was able to do it my classroom since I was working with a Wacom so it had pressure sensitivity. I'm not sure if Huion (which is what I have at home) has pressure sensitivity, but I'm not sure if the tablet I have has it. I guarantee if I had pressure sensitivity, I'd feel ten times better about doing line art.
