Моя тема связана с тем, чем я занимаюсь уже много лет и это маски. За эти года пока я изготавливала как свои проекты (я делаю маски из папье-маше и коллаборирую с разными художниками и фотографами), так и следила за работами людей по всему миру, которые увлекаются и создают своих персонажей.
В своем проекте я хочу показать, что я не единственный человек, который увлечен сейчас таким нестандартным занятием. У меня есть глава про современных масочников со всего мира, а так же про AR-маски, которые есть теперь в каждом телефоне человека, у которого есть социальные сети. Так же в своей книге я введу читателя сначала в историю маски. Получилось науч-поп издание со сложноструктурным текстом и дополненной реальностью с ссылками на современных артистов этого жанра
My topic is related to what I have been doing for many years and these are masks. Over the years, while I have been making both my projects (I make masks from papier-mâché and collaborate with various artists and photographers), and I have followed the work of people around the world who are passionate about and create their characters.
In my project, I want to show that I am not the only person who is now passionate about such an unconventional occupation. I have a chapter about modern masks from all over the world, as well as about AR masks, which are now in every phone of a person who has social networks. Also in my book I will introduce the reader to the history of the mask first. It turned out to be a scientific-pop edition with a complex structured text and augmented reality with links to contemporary artists of this genre.
В книге 3 основных раздела. Первый раздел - Маска в культуре вводит читателя в курс дела. Рассказывая об этимологии слова и первые появления маски в истории человека. Заканчивается раздел главой про современных масочников.
Второй раздел - Маска в театре показывает разные этнические и культурные различия театров мира.
Ну, и третий раздел - Маска мастер класс поможет читателю самостоятельно сделать маску. В разделе три основных способа создания масок. Последний – оттиск из силикона, уже для тех, кто попробовал, что проще.
В книге так же присутствуют содержание, алфавитный указатель, полный список литературы.
The book has 3 main sections. The first section - The Mask in Culture - introduces the reader to the course. Talking about the etymology of the word and the first appearance of the mask in the history of man. The section ends with a chapter about modern masks.
The second section - The mask in the theater shows the different ethnic and cultural differences in the theaters of the world.
Well, and the third section - Mask master class will help the reader to make a mask on their own. There are three main ways to create masks in this section. The last one is a silicone print, already for those who tried it, which is easier.
The book also contains content, an alphabetical index, a complete list of references.
Формат полосы почти квадрат. Cетка 9 на 9. Узкие поля по 10 мм, наличие открытого корешка в переплёте позволяет открыть книгу на 180 градусов, многие фотографии уходят в корешок и не съедаются благодаря данной конструкции.
У меня двуязычное издание и в книге преимущественно деление на две колонки основного текста. Главное деление ещё, что правая страница посвящена английском тексту, а левая русскому, это соблюдается по всей книге.
Основной текст набирался антиквой EB Garamond. При наборе основного текста соблюдалось большее поле, чем при дополнтельном. Основные цвета макета черный и желтый для русского текста, серый и розовый для английского. При этом желтый и розовый используются больше для выделения. Заголовков, подзаголовков, сносок и их описания. Так же есть дополнительный текст, выделенный подчеркнутым подзаголовком и гарнитура меняется на гротеск. Гарнитура Franklin Gothic Book ITC. Сноски в основном тексте тоже выделяются цветной плашкой и гротеском.
Фотографии масок обтравлялись, но в исторических и культурных контекстах фотографиях либо чб, либо цмик. Графическое решение в мастер классе, схематичная инструкция по изготовлению масок дополнены куар-кодами с ссылками на ютуб-уроки, которые я тоже записала и смонтировала для книги.

Narrow margins of 10 mm, the presence of an open spine in the binding allows you to open the book 180 degrees, many photos go into the spine and are not eaten due to this design. I have a bilingual edition and the book is mainly divided into two columns of the main text. The main division is that the right page is devoted to the English text, and the left to the Russian, this is observed throughout the book.
The main text was typed with typewriter EB Garamond. When typing the main text, a larger margin was observed than with the additional one. The main colors of the layout are black and yellow for Russian text, gray and pink for English. In this case, yellow and pink are used more for selection. Titles, subheadings, footnotes and their descriptions. There is also additional text, highlighted with an underlined subheading, and the typeface changes to grotesque. Franklin Gothic Book ITC typeface. Footnotes in the main text are also highlighted with colored solid and grotesque.
The photographs of the masks were clipped, but in the historical and cultural contexts the photographs were either bw or tsmik. The graphic solution in the master class, schematic instructions for making masks are supplemented with quar codes with links to YouTube lessons, which I also recorded and edited for the book.
