Grabado siempre me ha seducido.
Me parece una técnica maravillosa, me encanta el carácter que transmiten sus líneas en los estampados finales, y la textura de la tinta en el soporte.
Tener una amiga cercana grabadora solo ha alimentado mi interés en este arte, prestándole mayor atención cada vez que reconozco una pieza y educando mi admiración por ella.

Como a tantos otros, la cuarentena de 2020 creó un impasse en mi vida, y no dudé en aprovecharlo para aventurarme en aprender grabado. Agradezco profundamente el conocimiento compartido por la excelente grabadora argentina -y mi querida amiga- Daniela Cadile, sin cuya generosidad estos experimentos no hubieran sido posibles.
Block print has always seduced me.
It seems to me a wonderful technique, I love the character that its lines transmit in the final prints, and the texture of the ink on the support.
Having a close friend who is a block printer has only fueled my interest in this art, paying more attention to it each time I recognize a piece and continuing to educate my admiration about it.

Like many others, the quarantine of 2020 created an impasse in my life, and I did not hesitate to take advantage of this to venture into block printing. I deeply appreciate the knowledge shared by excellent Argentinean engraver - and my dear friend- Daniela Cadile, whose generosity made possible these experiments.

En base a esta experiencia siento que el 80% del grabado está en la etapa de definición del diseño: el boceto, y las consideraciones a tener en cuenta al momento de ponderar los claros y oscuros para la interpretación de la imagen y lo que transmitirá.
A continuación una versión acelerada de las extensas horas que me requirió el boceto para llegar al diseño final de este grabado.
Based on this experience, I feel that 80% of the block print skill is in the design definition stage: the sketch, and the considerations taken into account when weighing the use of whites and blacks for the interpretation of the image.
