This design competition submission was centered around the redevelopment of a housing community in Ohio. The project team used this opportunity to express our belief that public housing can be used as a mechanism to empower individuals and open doors to transition people out of poverty. 

The site of the housing development was once Luna Park, an important destination for the local African American community. 

Reclaiming that history rooted in community and celebration, our team envisioned a new housing development that was designed to build upon existing public programs and deeply engage the residents which live in the community.
