CURATORIAL CONCEPT

The curatorial concept for this museum is to allow people to appreciate Victor’s arts. One has to clear their mind of everyday life to understand what Victor wants to express through his work deeply. His poetic work should not be appreciated as a solo piece because of his work narrative. By following the sequence of his poetic works, one can visualise the bigger picture. It represents his life journey from the sudden trauma till what he has become today, in chronological order.

3. MINDFULNESS

“My sculptures are about being on a journey.  Whether you are standing, sitting or lying down, the journey continues. In my journey and through my sculptures, I hope I can touch the hearts and influence the minds of fellow passengers. And if I can in some way alleviate human sufferings through my art; that would make my journey a worthy one.”

- Victor Tan Wee Tar -
