LOVE THY SELFIE
Love Thy Selfie was born from an exploration into our relationships with our devices and social media. We've traded our churches for the confessionals of our screens - only our innermost thoughts, fears and secrets are no longer sacrosanct.

I had originally planned for the whole thing to live in a street scene, but after spending most of my time building the entire street, I opted for a cleaner, more abstract look and feel, and ultimately two portrait images. The idea was that in the near future, people would take their selfie stick to an 'ordained' location and confess. Something akin to a drop-in confessional, sandwiched between two take-aways on a run down row of shops.
I spent some time making this, but without film footage of Our Lady of Sorrows it would have felt a little flat, I think. I'm still posting though, just so it see's the light of day somewhere.
