"Art Transfer" using Google AI (feature introduced in 2020 using famous paintings to style photographs). This transformation reminded me of the verse:
"Thought and Memory each morning fly
Over the vast earth:
Thought, I fear, may fail to return,
But I fear more for Memory."

The transformation was used to produce a template for the first stage of a reduction linocut.

- the "usual" final print from the reduction process with all 5 cuts/colours in sequence
- print using only the middle 3 cuts/colours of the process
- print with just the final cut/colour

Other variants using different combinations of cuts/colours and orientations have also been produced including prints of the final cut with no ink (i.e. debossed only).
Next steps are to work by hand on debossed prints adding shading / cutting areas away etc, produce a video cycling through the different prints, printing with the plate which has now been cut into pieces...
