This is an assignment from semester 1 in university, where we got to create sets of dingbats suitable for each chosen local in our city - HCMC, Vietnam. My team's local was district 7. Throughout the introduction sheet, information about district 7 and dingbats fit with its characteristics were displayed. My task was creating dingbats about food.
The assignment required to design dingbats only in B&W. After studying, I took time to fill colors for them, therefore they were no longer dingbats but have turned into icons. Modification in paths and details was also made. The coloring style is flat, with slight cast of shadow that is typically seen in 2D illustrations.
