The Cambridge School of Art Degree Show represents the culmination of the students' work here. They have studied with Cambridge School of Art for three years, and will be taking their talents out into the world. Over 200 graduating BA (Hons) students are displaying their work in the fields of Computer Games Art, Fashion Design, Film & Television Production, Fine Art, Graphic Design, Illustration, Illustration and Animation, Interior Design, and Photography.
My role on this project was to develop the catalogue for the fashion design degree show to showcase each students projects following a brand guideline.
For the cover the first idea was to have a bellyband with die cut, but as the cost of this would be expensive, we had to exclude this idea.
What would of cost the most was the extra addition as this would of been seen as an extra cover along with cutting out circles is more expensive to cut out comparing to a square. This is because of the equipment used for the die cut.
My second suggestion was to die cut directly on the cover. But also this approach would of been far over budget, and we decided to go away from the die cut idea.

On the layout I made a suggestion to keep the layout minimalist, and with neutral colours. This way the pictures are in focus, and pops more out from the background. The client was very happy with this suggestion and therefore we went with this layout.
