Hunny Bee Beauty
Hunny Bee Beauty is a local Baltimore skincare business located in Druid Hill. I connected with business owner Rosalyn Jefferson through my partnership with Force for Local. They are a organization that helps local Baltimore businesses impacted by COVID-19 connect with local creatives to help give them a boost through art and design. Hunny Bee Beauty needed a complete refresh and rebranding of their image. Due to the limited time, we decided time would be best spent on a logo.
Business owner, Rosalyn, was interested in a logo that can be beautiful enough to stand alone. One example is that she needed the logo to go on a face mask. She is hoping to get face masks made so clients can leave with a clean and fresh mask on, therefore feeling refreshed even after leaving the office. Rosalyn was also excited to have potential marketing by people wearing a branded mask while out and about.
Small peek at the extensive interviewing and research I like to do of a new client. I want to be sure to learn as much as possible of my client's personality, goals and aesthetic preferences before I begin designing.
Exploring styles and lettering lockups.
Making fine adjustments and tweaks to the final lettering lock-up. The client requested to see what the logo would look like within a circle. It was something she had seen others in her industry have in their logo and she liked it as well. I gave her a sample of the request but also went a step above and outlined the logo into a honey comb shape. This decision was to help her stand out from the rest of the logos with this style while keeping the aesthetics requested by the client.
