Although I am studying graphic design, I have a deep passion for photography. I first visited Arizona 3 years ago and instantly fell in love with the foreign desert landscape. I was born and raised in Wisconsin, so I am used to seeing green trees, farm fields, and flat land. The simple sight of mountains in the horizon is fascinating to me. 

I've found myself drawn to the beauty of the red rocks of Sedona. I enjoy taking day trips to Sedona to take a hike in the mountains and take photographs of the views.

This particular photograph was actually taken from the time I rode in a helicopter. It was an amazing experience and I was happy to have my camera along with me. 

Although black and white does not always accentuate the beauty of landscapes, I feel that black and white has given the Arizona desert a mysterious look.
