Autobiography is contemporary performance by Wayne McGregor.
My response to the given brief was to create a fold out poster whereby the composition was constructed using Adobe InDesign (all other graphic elements were constructed using Illustrator and Photoshop).
The aim of this project was to make a promotional visual exploration of Autobiography. Through the application of graphic visual language I was required to create a print or digital visual ‘synopsis’ that explores and presents: the idea being to de-construct and graphically re-construct the movement, space and extended ideas within McGregor’s performance work to a reader or audience to a given format.
The project is a graphic exploration of a performance that was developed through the reflections on ideas and theories alongside the possibilities of physical bodies moving and interacting with space. I engaged with typographic application, both type as a method to embody graphic ideas and as a means of communicating information.
