A (fictional) label for music for music in the spectrum between old school shoegaze (like Slowdive) and repetitive, psychedelic electronica (like Animal Collective). Music that hits you with a wall of sound with interweaving textures that change and play off each other, and that often comes across as muddy and unclear. I made the logo to convey similar qualities visually.
Unlike with Rede, we chose the name of our record label individually, I landed on VERB. According to wikipedia, a verb is a word that “conveys an action [...] or a state of being”.

There are no profile colors, and the logo has a subtle gradient from black in the middle, to a color of your choice in the periphery. The logo can play along with different textures in the background, and the white version is only for such occasions, if the background is uniformly dark, the dark logo is to be used on a white rounded rectangle.

For catalogues and collections that represent the label itself, the designer should start off as if they’re making a natural science schoolbook, and then take off with little details of interesting textures.
