Pause Originals 2021 - Innuendo
I was inspired by an article I had read a few years ago, which discussed the lack of the human and ecological aspects behind this "rapid development" that human beings have been experiencing at current stage. Personally, I think it would be a good fit to the current setting, where for future, human beings have gone too far and too smoothly.So, when we have met one of the worst disasters in 3 decades, we have not even been fully unprepared for such a grand challenge, which it made us reflect and be self-conscious as to why, why has this been happening. However, there is no answer to that question, because the cause of everything is still about humans, and it has been us, humans, that contribute to these awful things happening.
Through this work, I hope to show that behind the rapid development, people are becoming more and more convenient and egoistic, but the real problem is whether we are able to bear the huge price comes with it. When we are facing with another serious global event again in five years, ten years, twelve years time, are we prepared for it? Do the senses help us understand the world?
