Sea — Ice Extent — Arctic

On this occasion, we show the time series of the daily sea ice extent of the northern hemisphere estimated by satellite. The source for the time series is the Sea Ice Index developed by the National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC).
We present 1980 which was when Arctic sea ice formed its maximum amplitude since NSIDC aggregated data and we compared it with the year 2020 that sea ice reached its historical lows.
