Produced for The NHS & Calderdale Royal Hospital, Romy & Paws is a short video intended to prepare poorly children for undergoing an MRI scan. While completely safe, the process can be a little noisy and involves lying perfectly still for up to 20 minutes at a time in order to achieve a successful scan, which can be quite scary for a young person.

It was important that Romy & Paws was a fun yet informative and reassuring video. My involvement was all encompassing - I wrote the script, created the characters and storyboard, arranged, attended and directed the voiceovers and sound effects and finally, animated the whole piece.

It was recently pointed out to me that even right now somewhere, a poorly child could be sat watching this, feeling a little better about going for their first MRI scan.
