Tower Bridge London 1886. The bascules (french word for seesaw)seen raised towards the high-level walkway are original and operate by hydraulic power, oil and electric replaced steam in 1976. Inside, on display as part of the Tower Bridge Exhibition you can see the enormous Victorian piston-pumping-engine rooms with accumulators and boilers and learn how they work.
RAF Lakenheath Suffolk, England.  Boeing F-15E Strike Eagles of the 48th Fighter Wing. During the second World War Lakenheath was used as a decoy airfield with pretend runways, aircraft and lights to divert the Luftwaffe attacks from other operational airfields. RAF Lakenheath and sister base RAF Milden Hall, are the two main U.S Air Force bases in the United Kingdom today.
Hyde Park Underpass  A makeshift wooded crate bed and night stand for this homeless man wrapped in a thick blanket, it's a grotty existence for some poor folk. Deprivation is an unpleasant sight, I wish him better days ahead.
Kings College Cambridge,Founded 1441. An architectural marvel and famous for its chapel with the largest fan vault ceiling in the world and is one of 31 colleges which make up Cambridge University. Each year around 17,000 applications are considered for Kings admission, those only with the highest academic ability and potential are succesfully accepted amounting to about 21% of all applicants.
Westminster London, Big Ben & The houses of Parliament.  The oldest part that still exists today is Westminster Hall from late 1090s, that's a whopping 900 years ago. Big Ben however is only 178yrs and is currently shrouded in scaffolding having gone a high profile restoration and was due to be completed by the end of 2021. Image taken 2017.
Golden Gate Bridge.  A suicide prevention net will be complete by 2023. Sadly, this engineering wonder and total awe-inspiring beauty spot is the most used suicide site in the world relating to over 1500 deaths. The deck is 245ft above the water, most jumpers die from the impact, all it takes is 4 seconds hitting the water at 75mph. The  suicide prevention initiative  program is expected to cost over $200,000.000.
St Aidans Church, Bamburgh, Northumberland.  Ad 635, once stood a wooden church build by St Aidan. The present church dates from the 12th-century. Who is St Aidan? He is the founder, first bishop of Lindisfarne also known as Holy Island and is credited with restoring Christianity to Northumbria, Aidan was Irish. Here in AD 652, a wooden beam preserved inside the church is traditionally said to be the one on which he rested and died.
