Bilingual Logo
The task assigned was to choose an existing well known Roman logo and design it in Devanagari, while managing the character of the logo. I chose Netflix because I thought it would be challenging as it consists of two conjuncts and it also has a lower arch. I started off with studying the existing Roman logo. Then I studied the basic anatomy of Devanagari type and also about the guidelines for its construction. Converting a Roman logo into Devanagari was a challenge because its Devanagari logo consists of conjuncts which was very difficult to design keeping its character constant. Finally after a lot of trials and errors I cracked the Devanagari logo.
