In this project I wanted to design a poster, book cover and social media posts for a banned book. I chose A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess. I decided to keep my color palette small with just orange, black, and white. I knew I wanted to explore a shatter effect on the title and I ended up designing two different posters. I like them both, but I went with the first one with the handwritten type. I like how it uses asymmetry and showcases the chaotic themes of the book. I also designed the book dust cover as well as three social media posts. 

I was tasked with taking pictures and body copy from Dwell magazine and redesigning the layout. I wanted a clean design that wasn't too busy, but still met the required number of pages. I researched layouts in several magazines and utilized master pages, grids, character, and paragraph styles in my design.
