Concept & Philosophy
The concept for this store was driven by McQUEENS' attention to detail. Trained on Savile Row, he was know for his exquisite embroidered suits with secret pockets and hidden messages. Mirroring the McQueen ethos of craftsmanship and attention to detail, this store is designed using a minimal material palette with seamless transition from floor to wall.
Floor Plan

The concept is further developed keeping in mind the organic flow of Alexander McQUEEN stores. This Vancouver flagship store boasts the Sarah Burton signature of honeycomb ceiling feature.

Column Treatments

Perfectly carved out pockets within the columns creates a space to display smaller accessories while concealing the structural elements.
This also provides safe place for people to browse the smaller items in the store, grabbing their attention as soon as they enter.

Concealed Doors

Concealed doors in the store with secret messages and color patters on the seam, is derived from the concepts of hidden pockets McQueen added to his suits.

Mannequin Display

Platform style displays between columns provides an elongated display surface for merchandise like shoes and belts, while taking the eye away from the structural elements.
