During a day trip to Everglades National Park, I sat for an hour to whip out this gouache study in my sketchbook. It was overcast that day, but it didn't stop breaks in the clouds from reflecting blue onto the surface of the marshes around us. The colors in this study came together really nicely in a short time, and it was therapeutic to be able to spend some time in nature. 🌴
