An open exploration of look and feel as I continue to explore interesting ways to depict neurons, neuronal landscapes, and the various concepts they can represent.

In this series, my main focus was to streamline the geometry of neuronal dendrites (branches extending from the cell body) as close to scientific accuracy. I was especially interested in achieving the geometry of "Boutons", (the interspersed rough knobs on the branches) that are nodes where neuronal connections are made. Neurons communicate with each other through contact at these areas and they thus, hold a special relevance in neuronal morphology.

As i continued to develop this series, i was moved by the different feelings each of these dominant color variations invoked. I found it very poetic, as these very neurons as cells encompass the different feelings humans are capable of experiencing.

You are welcome to download these as wallpapers to revel in the mystery of your own neurons and the landscape that live within your brain. :)
