Wedding in Portugal, Quinta de Alvre

Wedding in Portugal, Quinta de Alvre
Portugal and Cabo Verde, two lands that are everything to me!

I love the “Morabeza” spirit and, who really knows me, knows the feeling that Capo Verde has for me!

An old dream, to be able to marry someone from Cabo Verde, 2020 was the year!

Vanessa and Eddy chose the month of September and Portugal for the wedding, but to get to that day we have their story.

The parents already knew each other and, by destiny, they met in person in Bingen, Germany July 2018.

Still in that year, it was their first kiss and the beginning of a relationship that would lead to marriage, Vapiano is the name of that beginning, an Italian restaurant that they used to go to.

With the courtship starting in September 2018, the “official” request came only towards the end of February of the following year.

Why? Because Eddy wanted to do “well done”!

Plush of roses in hand, their song, which always played on that Vapiano (Olly Murs - Heart on my sleeve), was just waiting for Vanessa to go down the stairs.

And, because their love is like that, at the beginning of November came another request, “Do you want to marry me?”!

Of course, after such a dating request (even late), the marriage proposal had to be greatly overcome.

And overcame!

This time the song was Cape Verdean, Denis Graça - Conta Ma Mi.

Vanessa went to the window…. and she saw the garden decorated with petals, candles and the phrase "marry me" written on the floor.

She went down the stairs to the much desired "Yes" and to receive a huge round of applause from the family, all of whom complied with Eddy and hidden under the stairs waiting for the moment.

Great Eddy, thats how surprises are made!

Taking advantage of a visit to Portugal, in July, we took the opportunity to get to know each other personally and do the singles session in Ovar, in a place that I really like.

And, as time flies by, we were quickly in September, at Quinta de Alvre, for the wedding.
Great atmosphere, very Cape Verdean style.

Party, music, dance, animation!

Adding this to the evident complicity and Love that Vanessa and Eddy exude, you couldn't ask for more.

What a day! I loved it!

The friendship with them stayed, we talked a few times after the wedding and, in the air, it was a certainty, it was not at all the last time we were together!

Here are some pictures of the day

See you soon ...

“Enjoy the ride”
