One of our University briefs was to design a book cover of our choice for the Folio Society, this meant there were specific requirements as their covers only use two colours from a list and black and white. I choose the book The Portrait of Dorian Grey, the two themes of this book that I wanted to portray were obsession and corruption. I achieved this with the use of repetition of Victorian wallpaper and frames, as the wallpaper got deeper into the frames the colour got richer and darker, this is to symbolise that after Dorian Grey commited one sin it snowballs into numerous sins that becomes harder to cover up.
