Above is the series of cyanotypes created through the exploration and documentation process of this project. Far from the perfect cyanotype creations I had hoped for, instead came these wispy, muddied cyanotypes. Ultimately I have found far more beauty in the imperfections the shadows have created, and I have found the eerie atmosphere of these pieces extremely evocative and interesting.
I have entitled this design project an exploration with the sea rather than of the sea as I would like this research to be a completely immersive undertaking of research and analysis rather than a distanced collection of data. Through this project I found the true beauty and an art to the documentation process.
