CORE2291 Digital Design Lab 1: Project 2 Illustrator Techniques
The Project 2 in Digital Design Lab 1 was to learn more Adobe Illustrator Techniques over a series of several videos. One of the goals fo this project were to complete a vector redraw of an image with a Coca-Cola logo. The other goal of this project is to create an original design/ pattern inspired by visual exploration and techniques learn from videos. Overall, this project helped me feel more comfortable with the pen and shape builder tool.
Part 1
Illustrator Techniques
We used the color picker to match some colors as well as using the original Coca-Cola color found online.
Grouping of all of the different shapes created to complete the Coca-Cola logo.
We turned the "Registered Trademark" section into shapes in the case of this being worked on by someone else who doesn't have the font originally used.
We used the gradient tool to get the colors and shadows of the circle behind logo.
We created 2 different versions of this logo so it would be able to be used in other designs with a white background.
This is the final design we created with the instruction of the videos provided.

Visual Exploration: Pattern Design
Pattern Design Theme
For this portion of the project I wanted to create something that was expressing the excitement of the outdoors. I have grown up with camping and exploring nature. The aluminum of the coke can made me think of the popular Airsteam campers! I explored many different patterns in nature with different landscape visuals.
