The Pangolin
The Pangolin is a concept art book for a short animated film. The target audience is kids under 12 years old.
Storyline:
The story revolves around main two characters: cute little Pangolin and a big old Asiatic Lion. It is a journey in which they travel together, save each other’s life and discover happiness.

Behind the scenes:
The research work and character development process are inspired by Disney studios. I started researching and writing the backstory of the characters and a rough outline of the story. Brainstorming different shades and personalities of the characters was the most challenging task in the entire process. I began drawing character silhouettes using basic shapes and lines which helped me add more personality to them. I can up with curvy and rounded looks for the protagonists and sharp-edgy shapes for antagonists. A detailed anatomy study helped to balance the human and animal body structure. More details and textures were included. All the keyframes and environments were constructed using a similar process. All the character’s and environment’s building process i.e. from initial silhouettes to the final render is done in Adobe Photoshop using a stylish pen.
