Remo : Long Lost Companion
One hasn’t experienced true love until they’ve owned a dog. I was lucky enough to own two, Remo (a dachshund) and Dusky (a German Shepherd). Like how all good things come to an end. Remo soon became a long lost companion, not only to me but also to dusky. The most beautiful thing was the relationship that dusky and Remo shared. As the three of us grew up together I had the privilege of seeing their bond grow stronger.

While the main canvas reflects the memory of Remo through Dusky’s eyes. As I have always wondered if dusky to looked back and longed for Remo once in a while, like I do.
The other two canvases are soaked with my perspective of Remo. In these two canvasses I’ve explored new technique in terms of combining the three dimensionality of sculpture with two dimensionality of painting.

As an artist I want to create an opportunity for the viewer to get an up-close look and feel of Remo.  Which I’ve tried to bring  out through my sculpture. My work also portrays the feeling of a long lost companion. Where you feel like they are still around and have their memory embedded on every single object around us. Yet leaving us drowning in their absence
