All I want is to swim and go home.
泳いで家に帰りたい

When I was a child, I had to walk to elementary school, which was very far from my house. 
On a hot summer day, it was a struggle to get home with a heavy school bag on my back.
"Oh, I wish I could swim home", I would think to myself.
I imagined the burning hot streets flooded with water, turning into canals.
I held an exhibition depicting this daydream at this autumn 2020.

子どもの頃、家から小学校はとても遠かった。暑い夏の日に、重いランドセルを背負いながら帰路に着くのは苦痛でしかなかった。「ああ、いっそのこと泳いで家に帰れたらなぁ。」夏が来ると日に焼けるような熱いアスファルトが水で満たされる、そんな白昼夢を描いた展示を行いました。
