This article was written in October 1895 by four monks is Abel Sonia, Oscar Robbie, Adelio, and Jeffrey Darwin. We hold various apostolates at Manchester Abbey, England, and we strive to uphold the faith. Currently, our country is busy with cities due to the active industrial revolution, and although we thank the Creator for the changing times and technological advances, there are no monasteries where we can practice our faith and there are many factories in the city, so environmental pollution is getting worse.
Most of the people living in cities are workers, and they usually work 18 hours or more in factories. There are quite a few wealthy people in London, but on the other hand, there is an increasing number of poor and hard-working workers. We were shocked by the recent death of a child worker from overworking in a factory. In this situation, we would like to discuss whether the four monks can discuss various topics and come up with a more efficient solution from a rational point of view.

이 글은 1895년 10월, 아벨 소니아, 오스카 로비, 아델리오, 제프리 다윈 4명의 수도사가 기록한 담화문이다. 우리는 영국 맨체스터 수도원에서 다양한 사도직을 맡고 있으며 신앙을 지키려고 노력하고 있다. 현재 우리 국가는 활발한 산업혁명으로 도시가 바쁘게 움직이고 있는데, 시대가 변하고 기술이 발전하는 것에 창조주께 감사하지만, 신앙을 할 수 있는 수도원이 없어지고 도시에 공장이 많이 생겨나서 환경오염이 매우 심해지고 있다. 도시에 사는 사람들은 대부분 노동자인데, 공장에서 보통은 18시간 이상 일을 하고 있다. 런던에 제법 부유한 사람들도 많지만, 그와 다르게 가난하고 힘든 노동자들도 증가하는 추세다. 최근에 아동 노동자가 공장에서 과도하게 일을 하다가 사망한 사건이 생겨나고 우리는 큰 충격을 받았다. 이러한 상황에서 4명의 수도사가 다양한 주제로 이야기를 나누고 이성적인 측면으로 바라본 관점에서 더 효율적으로 해결책이 나올 수 있는지 함께 이야기하고자 한다.
