Plaster Sculpture
For this project, we began with a cardboard box, extra cardboard, balloons, and a box cutter. We were allowed to make whatever we desired with the rule of needing to manipulate at least three sides to the box. Next, I mixed three batches of plaster to pour into my cardboard box. Once the plaster was poured, set, and dry I began the process of taking the cardboard off and sanding down my sculpture. It took many different materials like turners mesh, a butter knife, and sand paper to achieve the current sculpture you are looking at. Finally, once the sculpture was to my desired smoothness, I chose to paint it orange and blue. I wanted these two colors to be bright, but also contrast each other.
