This portrait was commissioned by my mother. She had asked me to draw something in remembrance of her brother because of his recent passing, as a gift for my grandparents (Kris's parents). It was a difficult undertaking because it was an emotional endeavor that I had never experienced before. I am pleased with the outcome and so are they =] I feel I have captured his personality and spirit, and that's the hardest part.
