During a recent meeting at work, the subject of hiring new programmers came up. When I hastily jotted "C++" in my notes, I couldn't help but see some simplistic clown face, the sort you'd see on some sort of novelty frozen treat alongside push-ups or those patriotic rocket-looking numbers.
