Foreign Teritory: Stop Motion Animation Short

Foreign Territory
A Short Animation Film made using found objects and material explorations
Concept Note
The main aim was to experiment with found objects and try to push their physical limits. Simultaneously, creating a short narrative to give a structure and storyline to these explorations really pushes the creator to test the boundaries and break down those barriers. In this explorations, I created a character out of some old broken objects in my house and placed them in different material and physical environments to try and bring out a storyline.
The shuttle travels through a membrane and portal to enter this reality and lands on earth. Upon landing, it scans its surroundings for the threat it was warned of. Spotting the weird squiggly creature, the shuttle, with great bravery and skill, kills the creature which was supposedly its biggest threat. Happy to have succeeded, the shuttle celebrates its triumph. But suddenly, a shadow falls on its face. Alert, and honestly, a bit annoyed, the alien gets ready to face the dangers of this foreign territory. However, as the shuttle waits impatiently, the shadow grows bigger and bigger and bigger. The shuttle becomes white as a sheet as the reality starts to settle in its features, for the land it has landed on faced much larger and dangerous threats than what they had been warned of.
