Zenith El Primero Grande Chronomaster XXT

Zenith El Primero Grande Chronomaster XXT

During the 1960s, four major brands got into an intense competition over creating the first automatic chronograph wristwatch. Heuer and Breitling collaborated and were supported by Hamilton, Buren, and Dubois-Depraz, while Zenith and Seiko went their own way. By the end of the decade, all four companies had come up with a chronograph wristwatch that featured automatic winding. The Caliber 11 from Heuer, the 6139 from Seiko, and Zenith's El Primero all proved to be incredible movements and have each inspired a diverse line-up of respective successors.
The watch on offer here is one of those successors.
The El Primero Grande Chronomaster XXT Open Heart is a very compelling reinterpretation of the original model. It comes equipped with a large, stepped stainless steel case and a double-stepped bezel. The black dial features applied Roman numeral and dart hour indices, as well as additional polished accents in the 30-minute chronograph recorder, on the power reserve indicator, and around the open-heart aperture. The latter exhibits the self-winding El Primero caliber 4021, which has 39 jewels and boasts a power reserve of 50 hours. The beautifully-decorated movement can also be seen through the transparent caseback. It was just serviced by our master watchmaker and is ticking accurately.
Our offering is in excellent condition and comes in a full set of boxes and papers.
