To further my explorations in orthographic drawings I have chosen two objects from my forensic investigation. Both of the objects I've chosen are very different in shape and material, I wanted to practice drawing a 1:1 scale, the first image is me roughly planning out my drawings and marking my measurements, but I soon found out that I would have to retake the measurements as there are other smaller details that take place which are clearer in the final orthographic drawings above. I've inverted the image in both frame and colour as I found it's interesting to see the drawing from a different perspective
The second image I chose is my cat skull, to start off i roughly sketched out the skull from the bottom view and top view, for both of these I tried and placed the object on the page and traced out a vague shape, which made me realise some parts were thinner, especially with how shadow plays with my perspective, the shape of the skull would change drastically depending on how the light hit the object.
with the bottom right sketch it occured to me that I wanted to know what the skull would look like if cut in half (length wise) my attempt is very rough and the skull has a lot of negative space I explored this by shining a light through the from nostril and the back of the head
