October is a great time to go hiking in Cache Valley. The colors are always so vibrant and the air is crisp and cool. The Box Elder Peak trail starting via Deer Creek Canyon is no exception.
The first 2 miles of the trail cut through a dense, beautiful wood. The leaves vary in colors and the whole trail is blanketed in a thick carpet of red, green, and gold.
Although miles 3 and 4 are very steep, the scenery quickly changes and the vistas are breathtaking.
Being the steepest mountain range in the world, the ridgeline offers a really unique opportunity to look down into both Cache and Box Elder County.
