“It takes a village to raise a child”
is an African proverb that means that an entire community of people must interact with children to experience and grow in a safe, secure and healthy environment.
This Project is designed as a place for all parents who want to raise their kids in sustainable, rich nature environment. It is the place where behaviors, and values are instilled in every child naturally. The design followed climate consideration, and it featured multiple strategies in terms of Climate, Location, site, energy, and indoor air quality.
Little village daycare designed as a place for all parents who want to raise children in sustainable, rich nature environment. It is the place where behaviors and expectations are instilled in every child naturally the whole day, and play excited and stimulating, so that they can develop their sensibility and creativity from the air, water, sand, plants, and sky, through their senses vision, smell, and taste. The goals are to allow each child to think and feel: “I belong here. I feel safe.” As being in the project spaces will enhance the feeling for the kids that they belong to something bigger than themselves.” Responding to the climate, the design featured multiple strategies in terms of Location, site consideration, energy, water and indoor environmental quality through the simplicity reflected in the planning, and used material. Being in the project’s spaces will enhance values and skills in early age, Starting From discovering, and exploring in their zones, and ending with innovating in the green house, making their own healthy food from what they made, so they feel the confident to raise plants and vegetables as they grow with harmony with nature focusing on the collaboration, communication, and creativity in the function that the design is based on.
The functions’ organization allowed the composition to interconnect and respond to the surrounding site.
