For more than a decade, the GameSpot party has consistently been one of the hottest after-hours events during E3. And for 2019, we took it to a whole new level. Not only was the evening a high-touch experience for our Sales and Business Development teams to entertain key clients/partners, but it also demonstrated GameSpot's ability to stay fresh and innovative in an ever-changing media landscape.
Hosted at The Standard Hotel Rooftop in downtown LA, this year's party took guests on an unexpected journey through the cosmos with an infinity dance-floor and other interactive experiences. With expansive views of the surrounding skyline, the exclusive location of The Standard made the party feel even more out of this world.
In partnership with Dr Pepper, the event also featured a custom activation space known as the "Dr Pepper Treat Yourself Lounge." Here, guests could enjoy specialty cocktails, savory bites, nitrogen ice cream and even feel nostalgic with a giant Lite Brite. But that's not all! Made entirely out of Dr Pepper cans (500 to be exact), a pair of larger than life-size headphones gave guests the ultimate photo op to share on Instagram.
As the evening eventually came to an end, each guest was gifted a GameSpot lunchbox to remember the night. These custom takeaways included Dr Pepper pins inspired by its latest K-Pop campaign and a hangover kit to help keep attendees fully charged for the remainder of E3.
