My junior year, I took Publication Design where we were able to design a book of our choice. I naturally chose to create a book about Maryland since I grew up there. The design I chose reflects the most important food in Maryland, blue crabs. The cover of this book shows a fishing net, a blue crab, and a piece of drift wood. This fun font that I used for “Maryland” reminded me of water, making it the perfect choice for this book. I also included these interior pages to show the layout and vector style I decided to go with.
