To Be Continued...
2011 edition, STOP TB Day, March 24th
Freshly designed poster for To Be Continued...

In July 2009 at the Stazione di Topolò / Postaja Topolove (on the Italian border with Slovenia), the "Officina Globale della Salute" (Global Health Incubator) was opened officially. The aim of the Topolò OGS is to link science and art/creativity in order to inform the wide public on key issues related to health, well-being of physical and spiritual nature, prevention of diseases, medical education, environment etc utilizing artistic expressions as a conduit.

The OGS was conceived and directed by Mario Raviglione, Director of the Stop TB Department at the World Health Organization and authority in the field of control of tuberculosis, together with Moreno Miorelli who leads the Stazione di Topolò. Tuberculosis (abbreviated as TB in English and TBC in Italian) is a disease imposing a huge burden to countries of the world (mostly the developing ones, but also rich countries) still causing the deaths of 1.8 million people each year, 4500 every day.

March 24th marks every year "World TB Day". Last year, the Topolò OGS has decided to organize ToBeContinued, a one-day relay of sounds, starting from Topolò, touching several countries around the world and then "back" to Topolò after 24 hours. The initiative has had such a great success that we have decided to repeat it.

For the duration of the event, the headquarters of the Topolò OGS will be hosted by the University Cultural Centre of Klagenfurt (Unikum), Austria, where local artists along with international guests will perform live for the opening and closing ofToBeContinued. Moreno Miorelli and Antonio Della Marina will coordinate the schedule and take care of the sequence of contributions.
